A community-led initiative is underway to revitalize the Shooks Run Trail, a vital greenway that winds through the heart of Colorado Springs. Spearheaded by the Shooks Run Neighborhood Association in partnership with the city's Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department, the project seeks to enhance the trail's accessibility, safety, and ecological health.
The Shooks Run Trail, a 2.6-mile paved path, follows the course of Shooks Run creek, connecting Monument Valley Park to Palmer Park.
